Your Guide to Creating Effective Learning Goals

The CMLTO Professional Portfolio, a component of the Quality Assurance Program, supports Registrants by promoting ongoing self-reflection and professional development. Every Practising Registrant is required to maintain a Professional Portfolio, which includes setting measurable goals that support continuous improvement and enhanced professional practice. Completion of the Professional Portfolio is self-declared during the annual registration renewal process.

To support Registrants in maintaining their portfolio, CMLTO has developed a Learning Goal video for MLTs. This resource is designed to support MLTs by outlining the best practices for developing learning goals and highlighting the benefits of goal-setting. It also includes self-reflection questions and examples of effective learning goals.
