New Infographic Highlights Insights from CMLTO Survey on Practice Changes in Laboratory Professions

CMLTO is pleased to share a new infographic that presents key findings from a previous survey conducted to better understand evolving practice changes within Ontario’s medical laboratory professions. The infographic provides a snapshot of current trends and emerging opportunities impacting Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) and Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technicians (MLA/Ts).

For the first time, the survey included MLA/Ts who are not currently listed on CMLTO’s Voluntary Roster. Their participation has allowed for a broader and more inclusive perspective on the experiences, roles, and changes within this part of the workforce.

The infographic highlights areas such as role development, workload changes, and shifts in professional responsibilities—offering valuable insights for key partners of the College, employers, educators, and policy-makers.
