The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) was delighted to attend the 2025 Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR) Conference in Calgary.
CMLTO Registrar & CEO, John Tzountzouris, presented Five Years in the Hot Seat: Deep Thoughts from the Office of the Registrar, where he shared insights on leadership, lessons learned, and the evolving role of the regulator in a rapidly changing professional landscape.
John also joined Dean Benard (Benard + Associates), Lonny Rosen (Rosen Sunshine LLP), and Eugene Silva (TraceX Digital Forensics) for the panel Tech-Driven Truth: AI & Digital Forensics in the Regulatory World. The discussion explored how artificial intelligence and digital tools are transforming investigations and shaping the future of regulatory practice.
Participation in CNAR’s annual conference allows CMLTO to engage directly with regulators from across Canada, exchange ideas, and share best practices. Through this collaboration, CMLTO continues to strengthen its capacity to serve the public, enhance regulatory effectiveness, and remain at the forefront of innovation in health-professions regulation.
