Engaging Employers Across Ontario: CMLTO Hosts Employer Focus Group as Part of Careholder Linkage Campaign

On July 23, 2025, the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) hosted an Employer Focus Group as part of its ongoing Careholder Linkage Campaign, an initiative led by the CMLTO Board of Directors.

This virtual session brought together medical laboratory employers from across Ontario to share their insights, experiences, and perspectives on the profession. The discussion focused on a range of important topics, including workforce challenges, future opportunities, and the evolving needs of the healthcare system. Participants also had the chance to network and exchange ideas with peers from other organizations.

The Employer Focus Group is one of several targeted sessions being conducted through the Careholder Linkage Campaign. This strategic initiative is designed to strengthen relationships and communication between the College and key Careholder groups.

By hearing directly from Careholders, the CMLTO Board gains valuable context and input that will help shape the College’s regulatory and strategic priorities in the months and years ahead.

Their input will help ensure that the College remains responsive to the current and future needs of the profession and the healthcare system.
