While called a college, the CMLTO is a regulatory body rather than an educational body. The CMLTO was established in 1993 by a law titled, the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-laws.gov.on.ca\/html\/statutes\/english\/elaws_statutes_91r18_e.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The CMLTO registration is composed of more than 7,000 regulated MLTs, who serve Ontario\u2019s citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once registered, MLTs must practice their profession in accordance with the CMLTO regulations<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and standards.
