The Canadian Society For Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)

National Medical Laboratory Technologist examinations are administered by The Canadian Society For Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).

The CSMLS began to establish its standards in 1937. Since then it has been recognized as the official national examination board for the profession of medical laboratory science.

The CSMLS has a track record of pride, excellence and accountability therefore the College Registration Committee determined that the qualifying examinations approved by the College will be those of the Canadian Society For Medical Laboratory Science.

Examinations are reviewed annually by the CSMLS Examination Panels and all questions are statistically validated by those Examination Panels, which report to the Council on National Certification (CNC). All provinces are represented on the CNC, which must approve any changes to the examination process.
