CMLTO proudly announces the release of its third annual Medical Laboratory Technologist Health Human Resource Exploration report. This analysis of the 2011 CMLTO membership database reports and examines MLT practice, employment facility and status, and the provision of MLT education. HealthForceOntario (through the government of Ontario) is providing financial support for health professionals’ training through the Allied Health Professional Development Fund (AHPDF) again this year.
While funding is not guaranteed, MLTs are encouraged to apply for reimbursement of up to $1500 for professional development activities that were completed between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. As of December 31, 2011, only 43% of available funds allocated for MLTs have been used.

Office of the Fairness Commissioner commends CMLTO
